This is a high quality handcrafted magnetic chess set and board. These chess pieces are finely carved from high quality wood following the Stuanton design with "german" knights. The pieces have also a lacquer finish and the bases are felted to protect the chessboard from unwanted scratches.

The dimension of the open chessboard is 25x25 cm (9,8x9,8 inches) (we are also selling a bigger model). The close chessboard is 5 cm (2 inches) tall.

Despite their small size, the pieces are prepared with a great care and finely handcarved. The lacquer finish makes them perfect under every aspect. The pieces are magnetic and then are really stable when placed on the chessboard (you can even hold it upside down as shown in the pictures without risk of fall for any of the pieces). The inside of the chessboard is filled with soft foam covered in green velvet. A series of hollows are present to hold every piece when the chessboard is closed during the travel time.

Every particular of this set denotes the fine skill of production and handcrafting required to make such an item. Moreover the item is also quite sturdy and adapt for every kind of travel.
